Bearings • Cam Followers
Cam followers or track followers are special roller or needle bearings that follow cams. They are defined by their mounting type. To reduce deformation, its outer race needs a thick cross section due to its single point load and the roller diameter needs to be decreased which reduces the bearing capacity. End plates contain the needles or bearing axially. Lubrication holes is used to re-lubricate the cam follower. Type of cam followers include anti-friction element, shape, stud, drives, eccentricity and yoke.
