Bearings • Miniature Bearings
Miniature ball bearings are machined components constructed from an outer race, inner race, balls, retainers, shields, and snap rings. Because rolling balls have a lower coefficient of friction than do two flat surfaces that rotate on each other, these bearings reduce rotational friction while still supporting radial and axial loads. Due to limited contact area between the balls and races, however, miniature ball bearings have a proportionally lower load capacity compared to other rolling-element bearings.Miniature bearings are produced in a variety of configurations, including open, shielded, or sealed, with or without lubrication, and bore diameter sizes as small as 0.6 mm. They can be used in fractional horsepower motors, domestic appliances, precision instruments, tape recorders, and other similar devices.Leading manufacturers: VXB, Boca Bearings, Dynaroll, NMB Tech, Shanhai Lily, SMB, TOK Bearing Co., Ltd.
