Cylindrical bearings have high radial capacity, low friction and high speed operation. The rollers are crowned or end relieved. The bearings are made in precision grades of RBEC5. They are lubricated with oil which helps cools the bearings. In high speeds and light loads, cylindrical roller bearings are prone to  roller skidding. This can be solved with an out of round raceway that pinch the roller at opposite points. Another solution is using two preloaded hollow rollers. Non locating bearings are a type of cylindrical roller bearing with a separable outer ring or inner ring. They allow for axial motion of the shaft. They must be used with ball bearings. They are characterized by high radial and load capacities, stiffness and speed.

  • KML Bearing & Equipment

KML offers single row and double row cylindrical roller bearings. They are commonly separable, easy to dismount and mount, and can be divided into double row, single row and muti-row cylindrical roller bearings. The most widely used are cylindrical roller bearings with a cage. There are full compliment single or double row roller bearings. Cylindrical roller bearings are used for high radial load carrying capacity and high speeds.

  • American Roller Bearing Co.

American Cylindrical Roller Bearings are manufactured from AISI bearing steels that are suitable to a maximum temperature of 175C (350F). Cylindrical roller bearings are made with zero, one, two, or more flanges depending on intended use. Snap rings can be used to function as a flange to hold a bearing together, but are not capable of taking thrust.

  • NKE

NKE's cylindrical roller bearings feature single row and double row designs, brass and polyamide cage variants, are suitable for high radial loads and high speeds, offer simple mounting due to fitting outer and inner rings separately, and full compliment versions are available for higher radial loads. Applications include mechanical presses, industrial gearboxes, pumps and compressors, electrical motors, steel mills, traction motors and axle boxes for railway vehicles, etc.

  • NSK

With NSK's cylindrical roller bearings the cylindrical rollers are in linear contact with the raceways. They have a high radial load capacity and are suitable for high speeds. Different types offered include NU, NJ, NUP, N, NF (for single-row bearings), NNU, and NN (for double-row bearings). The outer and inner rings of all types are separable.
