Spadone Alfa Entries
Spadone Alfa produces a line of self lubricated bronze bearings with high load and high speed capabilities, and a medium to high temperature rating up to 600°F. These bearings are composed of a variety of bronze alloys such as aluminum bronze, bearing bronze and manganese bronze, and are used when standard lubrication is impractical. Spadone Alfa self lubricating bearings are also compatible with other lubricants, oil and grease.
Spadone provides over 900 sizes of plain bronze bearings, bar stock, washers, wearplates and special machined parts in a wide variety of bronze alloys (including aluminum). Bronze bearings are available in one piece, split bushing, flange and thrust washer types. Machined parts capabilities include oil grooving, slotting and drilling.
Spadone-Alfa offers plain bronze bushings, self-lubricated bronze bushings, graphite plugged bushings, and carbon/graphite bushing inserts. The bronze bushings are offered in a wide variety of copper alloys, such as Aluminum (CDA 954), Manganese (CDA 863), and Bearing Bronze (CDA 932), in over 900 sizes. The self-lubricated option comes as MET 70, an oil-free, self-lubricating insert that fits Spadone-Alfa's 200 Series Pillow Blocks and Flange Units. These inserts are made of carbon/graphite material and are available in two temperature ranges: up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, and up to 1100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spadone Alfa manufactures plain bearings in a variety of bronze alloys, including aluminum, manganese and bearing bronze. Featuring one piece construction, these products are available as split bushings, flange bearings, and thrust washers.
Spadone Alfa offers SAE, AMS, Mil-Spec, and ASTM compliant sintered bronze bearings. These bearings are wear-resistant, smooth-acting, self-dampening, self-lubricated, and vacuum oil-impregnated. They have tensile strengths up to 14,000 PSI, yield strengths up to 11,000 PSI, density ratings ranging from 6.4 to 6.8%, and a 1% elongation.
