The D.S. Brown Company, Engineered Rubber Products Div. Entries

  • ►  Gaskets • Seals • Extruded Seals

    For: Entry

The D.S. Brown Company produces custom rubber extrusions with maximum cross sectional area of 15". Produced from rubber, silicone, and Viton, the extrusions are used in the construction, electrical, and transportation industries. The company also offers EPDM extruded rubber hopper seal assemblies for the marine industry. These seals are produced to tolerances of 0.030" and feature one inch material thickness.

  • ►  Gaskets • Seals

    For: Entry

Seals are devices used to join two objects together in a manner preventing anything from passing between or generally joing two objects together.

The D.S. Brown Company offers EPDM extruded rubber hopper seal assembies and custom rubber extrusions for for the marine, construction, electrical, and transportation industries. EPDM extruded rubber hopper seal assemblies are ideally used for compound development, die design, and tooling for vulcanized joints. These assemblies have tolerances as tight as 0.030", 1" thicknesses, and 90° two place-bend angles. D.S. Brown custom rubber extrusion capabilities include custom parts, miniature parts, large parts, and small runs. They are capable of producing extrusions with 15" cross sectional areas, durometer ranges from shore A 30 to 90, tolerances to ±0.001", and batch sizes starting at 500 lbs.

  • ►  Rubber • Rubber Extrusions

    For: Entry

The process of forming rubber parts and/or components via forcing malleable rubber material through a die of the required shape after which it is commonly cured or hardened.

The D.S. Brown Company offers custom rubber extrusion products in a variety of configurations, including: tubing, toy parts, sponges, seals, lighting, insulation, flanges, edgings, connectors, channels, angles, etc. These extrusions come in ±0.001" tolerances, 15" extrusion profile widths, and continuous extrusion lengths. They are typically used in transportation, electrical, construction, industrial, and commercial industry applications.

  • ►  Rubber • Rubber Compression Molding

    For: Entry

Molding method where rubber material is placed in an open heated mold cavity, followed by a top lunger applying force to rubber material forcing it into shape until material is stable.

The D.S. Brown Company is a manufacturer of custom rubber products. available services include custom rubber compression molding of orgainic rubbers and silicone. Custom rubber compression molded parts can be made in sizes up to 70" x 80" x 70" with tolerances to within 0.001".

  • ►  Rubber • Rubber Injection Molding

    For: Entry

Rubber part forming by forcing, usually liquefied, rubber material into a mold cavity where it is left to cool and harden in the shape of the mold.

D.S. Brown is a manufacturer of custom rubber parts and components. Rubber materials available include organic rubbers and silicone for large and miniature components as well as multi-component pieces and small parts.
