Radio-frequency identification is a system of radio waves that provides a means of tracking a variety of products.

Radio frequency identification technology is used within industrial environments to provide efficient and accurate knowledge of current inventory. RFID technology can be found in plant-based production processes or in post-sales product management. Types of RFID products found with factory automation applications include antennas, printers, readers, tags, labels and inlays.

  • Texas Instruments

    Texas Instruments offers readers and reader modules in a variety of configurations, including micro, remote antenna, high performance RFM, USB, antenna tuning board, mini-RFM, etc. These readers feature 134.2 kHz frequencies, antenna inductance ratings ranging from 8 to 80 μH, operating temperatures ranging from -40 to 85°C, and supply voltages ranging from 5 to 25 VDC. They come in dimensions ranging from 38.3 x 29.3 x 13.5 to 200 x 120 x 120 mm.


    AARFID offers card and label printers in a variety of configurations. EDIsecure XID 590ie re-transfer printers feature convenient front-loading systems, double-sided printing capabilities, printer password protection, and a high-capacity card production design.     Texas Instrument manufactures LF antennas in seven configurations. Series 2000 RI-ANT-G02E antennas have waste/asset management, container tracking, vehicle ID, and access control applications. These antennas are easy to use/install, proven in harsh industrial environments, IP65 protected, and patented with HDX technology. They can handle operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +60°C and inductance ratings ranging from 26 to 27 μH.

    ABSS offers a variety of RFID products, including inlays, labels, tags, readers, printers, and antennas. Motorola FX7400 RFID readers come with 64 MB of flash/ram, Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 direct application hosting capabilities, EPC Global LLRP interface support, and a die-cast aluminum construction. These readers feature flexible firmware upgrades, auto-discovery options, 2-4 port designs, visual status indicators, and a 24 Vdc power supply.

  • RFID Shop

These antennas are constructed with flushed mounting styles, and they range in dimension from 155 x 155 x 32 to 259 x 259 x 33.5 mm.

  • Intermec

    Intermec offers RFID readers, printers, and antennas. IF2 network readers feature durable enclosures, multi-region operations, scalable/low-cost deployments, and built-in powered general purpose outputs/inputs. These readers have a variety of applications, including logistics, industrial manufacturing, stretch warp stations, conveyor scanning, etc. PF2i RFID printers are IATA 1740c compliant, they feature IPv6 support, and WiFi/CCX secure wireless connectivity. IA33D/IA33E antenna cells enable inexpensive/fast installations, and they are developed specifically for forklift installation applications.

  • Tagsys RFID

    Tagsys RFID manufactures high and ultra high frequency ruggedized/flexible RFID tags for the following applications: embedding, encapsulation, injection, etc. GemTRAK RFID UHF labels are specifically designed for use in the jewelry industry, and they are adaptable to a variety of jewelry pieces, including necklaces, earrings, rings, etc. These labels feature up to 240 bits ePC in memory, they meet ISO/Class 1/Generation 2 protocols, and measure 3.78 x 1 x 0.04" in size.

    AARFID offers antennas in 13.56 MHz and 915 MHz configurations. Feig ISC.ANT1300/680 gate antennas feature reading ranges up to 55 cm, power transmissions up to 4W, 50 Ohms impedance ratings, and transmitting frequencies up to 13.56 MHz. These antennas come in 12.67 x 13.26 x 1.49 inch dimensions, and they work with HF mid to long-range readers.

These printers have humidity ratings ranging from 10 to 80%, operating temperatures ranging from +40 to 104°F, up to 128 MB of flash memory, and a 2.36" VGA LCD user interfaces.

    ABSS offers AN200 Series, AN400 Series, and AN480 Series RFID antennas. AN200 RFID antennas can withstand extreme temperatures, moistures, and vibrations at power levels ranging from 1 to 20 watts. These antennas have -37 db isolation ratings, operating temperatures ranging from +32 to +122°C, and frequency ratings ranging from 900 to 928 MHz. AN400 RFID antennas can be easily mounted, and they feature wide read field capabilities. AN480 RFID antennas are single port antennas with low axial ratios.
