Ceramic cover/Inconel core tadpole seals feature 0.09" thick cloth wire inserts, core/cover material temperatures up to 2000°F, and four profile type options. These seals are calibrated to NIST ISO9001-2008 standards, and they are available in over 150 grades of proprietary carbon/graphite METCAR materials. Seals have applications for water turbines, water pumps, steam turbines, ship propeller shafts, mixers, industrial blowers, furnace exhaust blowers, blenders, etc.

Engine/APU segmented seals feature segmented rings, a non-elastomer design, and temperature ranges from -400 to 1600°F. These seals have applications for superchargers, jet engines, missiles, aircraft cabin compressors, refrigeration compressors, inter-stage compressors, gas turbines, etc. Engine/APU custom-engineered ceramic seals have a bi-directional/rugged design, up to 85% in leakage reduction, and low wear materials for consistent flows/barrier consumption. Rexnord also offers a wide range of custom-engineered sealing solutions, including contacting face seals, non-contacting face seals, circumferential/control gap seals, etc.

Custom molded elastomeric seals/gaskets have temperature ratings ranging from -85 to 550°F, and they are constructed from Viton, silicone, and fluorosilicone materials. These seals/gaskets are NSF, NBC, and FAA approved, and they have applications for window gaskets, lavatories, large concrete pipes, fuel tanks, fuel bladders, fire barriers, aircraft seals, etc. Conductive EMI-shielding and thermally conductive elastomers feature attenuation ranges from 80 to 115 dB, frequency responses tested to 10 GHz (plane waves), and MIL-DTL-83528C compliance.

    The D.S. Brown Company offers EPDM extruded rubber hopper seal assembies and custom rubber extrusions for for the marine, construction, electrical, and transportation industries. EPDM extruded rubber hopper seal assemblies are ideally used for compound development, die design, and tooling for vulcanized joints. These assemblies have tolerances as tight as 0.030", 1" thicknesses, and 90° two place-bend angles. D.S. Brown custom rubber extrusion capabilities include custom parts, miniature parts, large parts, and small runs. They are capable of producing extrusions with 15" cross sectional areas, durometer ranges from shore A 30 to 90, tolerances to ±0.001", and batch sizes starting at 500 lbs.

These seals have a leak-proof design, outstanding thermal conductivity, a high Young's modulus, and minimal face seal/packing ring deformations. Seals have dry-running capabilities, low centrifugal forces, low heat expansion coefficients, and they are available in sizes of up to 900mm in diameter.

    CoorsTek offers a wide range of corrosion-resistant, heat-stable, and long-life ceramic hard-face seals that utilize carbon graphite, tungsten carbide, silicon carbide, high-grade alumina, and specialty polymer materials. CoorsTek alumina materials have the following manufacturing options: slip casting, tape casting, hot/dry pressing, co-firing, extruding, roll compacting, etc. Model AD-90 aluminas have 3.60 gm/cc densities, compressive strengths up to 2482 MPa, tensile strengths up to 221 MPa, and thermal conductivities up to 17.7 Wm.

    Slade, Inc. offers equipment seals in a variety of configurations, including: 3300C, 3300G, 3300K, 3300CJ, 3300CJK, specialty/OEM products, Pyro-tex joint sealants, etc. Model 3300G all-purpose pump and valve packings can handle pressures to 5000 PSI, pump services to 4800 FPM, temperatures to 1800°F, and pH ranges from 1 to 14. These pumps/packings won't glaze or harden, they will eliminate most leaks, require no special end-rings, and outlast typical packings by a factor of 6. They are difficult to over-tighten, and they have applications for hydrocarbons, steam, and chemicals.
