    Allied Motion Technologies, Inc. offers frameless and housed brushless torque motors. Frameless sizes range from 17.3 mm to 792 mm. In addition to this standard range, custom sizes are also available to suit specific requirements. Housed versions of most of the frameless motor models are available up through the Megaflux MF310 with a housing diameter of 310 mm. Continuous stall torque ranges from 1.0 to 1490 lb-ft.

    MacFarland Associates offers DC limited angle torque motors in a variety of sizes and configurations. Motors stators come in two forms: toroidally wound iron core or stationary, arc segmented, multipole permanent magnet. Rotors come in two forms: low inertia wound wire, or 2/4/6 pole permanent magnet. These motors can provide angular excursions of up to 180°, and are typically supplied without bearings, shaft, or housing to allow for direct mounting to customer supplied bearing systems. The maximum peak torque is 1200 oz-in, and the maximum continuous torque is 400 oz-in.

  • Siemens

    Siemens offers direct drive torque motors in two configurations: 1FW3 and 1FW6. These motors are permanent-magnet synchronous torque motors that work in applications with low driving speed and high torque. The compact 1FW3 is a water-cooled motor available in IP rating 54 with a high overload capacity (up to 2.5 times rated torque) and a wide hollow shaft allowing new and innovative machine designs. It has a maximum rated speed of 800 RPM, and a static torque of up to 5275 lb-ft. The built-in 1FW6, also water-cooled, is rated for IP 23 and offers a high overload capability of up to two times rated torque. The 1FW6 has a maximum rated speed of 650 RPM, and a maximum torque of up to 8040 lb-ft.

    H2W Technologies, Inc. offers limited angle torque motors in two configurations: MR Series and WR Series (Type L and Type S). These motors are ideal for compact, limited angle excursion (<180°), rotary, closed loop servo applications. These motors have a variety of advantages, including: having no torque ripple, a high angular acceleration, no commutation, brushless, and low profile. Applications include: aerospace, semiconductor, medical, and military.

  • Anaheim Automation

    Anaheim Automation offers high torque stepper motors. The stepper motor product line ranges from the smallest NEMA 08Y series with up to 4.2 oz-in of torque, to the largest NEMA 42K series with up to 5,700 oz-in of torque. The stepper motor line includes Specialty-Type stepper motors, such as IP65-Rated Stepper Motors and Integrated Stepper Motor-Driver-Controller packages, wherein the driver/controller circuitry is built into the stepper motor assembly. Most high-torque stepper motors have a 1.8-degree step angle as standard, yet other step angels are available.

  • Lin Engineering

    Lin Engineering offers NEMA 17 super torque motors in bipolar and unipolar configurations. The sizing ranges from 1.34" to 2.34", and the maximum holding torque is 125 oz-in. Number of leads ranges from 4 to 6.

  • Baldor

    Baldor offers DSMS series high torque stepper motors for motion control applications. The DSMS is available in three frame sizes (NEMA 17, 23, and 34), and it has a maximum torque of 1061 oz-in. The DSMS motor is combined with a microstepping drive, with up to 14 resolution settings from 400 steps to 51,200 steps per revolution.
