Pumps • Centrifugal Pumps

Centrifugal pumps are rotodynamic pumps that use rotating impellers to increase the pressure of a fluid.

A centrifugal pump increases the pressure of a fluid and move liquids through a piping system via a rotating impeller. This style of pump is commonly used in a parts washer or within mud tanks that are part of an oilfield’s solid control system. Centrifugal pumps are available in vertical and multistage design. Vertical centrifugal pumps - also referred to as cantilever pumps - utilize a shaft and bearing support configuration; while a multistage centrifugal pump contains two or more impellers that are mounted on the same or different shafts. Types of centrifugal pumps include: sand pumps, submersible slurry pumps, shear pumps, charging pumps, magnetically-coupled pumps, hydraulic pumps, magnet drive pumps, axial flow pumps, corrosion-resistant pumps, chemical pumps, and high-pressure pumps.
