Pumps • Chemical Pumps

There are three basic types of chemical pumps: centrifugal, metering, and positive displacement. There also are a number of chemical pump sub- types including: adjustable chemical drum pumps, diaphragm, double diaphragm pumps, FDA-approved plastic drum pumps, high viscosity pumps, high-volume transfer pumps, lever action pumps, manual lift pumps, oil pumps, rotary pumps, cryogenic pumps, and HVAC pumps.Chemical pump power sources include AC or DC voltage; hydraulic or pneumatic systems; gasoline or diesel engines; and steam, water, and natural gas.

  • Robert Brown Associates, Inc.

    Robert Brown Associates carries numerous chemical pump models. The Aurora 150 Series regenerative turbine pump comes as single or double stage, as well as duplex, in two ANSI sizes (17.5" or 23.5"); the Rotech Model 1196 has a top centerline discharge, self-venting casing, and fully-confined PTFE gasket, and allows working pressures up to 350 psi and minimum 0.125" corrosion allowance. Two makes of chemical metering pumps are also available in various construction combinations, capacities, and pressures: the Lutz JESCO MAGDOS chemical metering pump and Lutz JESCO MEMDOS motor-driven chemical metering pump.

  • Met-Pro Corp., Dean Pump Div.

    Dean Pump Division manufactures four ANSI design chemical process pumps. The pH Series horizontal ANSI design process pump offers capacities to 3,200 gpm and working pressures to 375 psig in 22 different sizes. The pHP Series self-priming chemical process pump has a capacity of 700 gpm and allows working pressure up to 275 psig, while the pHV Series vertical sump pump provides capacities to 1,200 gpm, heads to 200 ft, and working pressures to 275 psig. Finally, the M300 Serires magnetic drive ANSI design chemical process pump offers capacities to 1,200 gpm, heads to 450 ft, and working pressures to 275 psig.

  • March Pumps

    March Manufacturing offers AC and DC electric motor pumps, air motor pumps, centrifigual pumps, and dual head pumps. Most of the AC pumps are chemical-compatible, including the Series MDX (up to 8.6 gpm), Series 4 (14 gpm), Series 5 (18 gpm), and Series 5.5 (30 gpm), due to wetted materials of glass filled polypropylene, ceramic, Kynar, Viton, Buna N, 316 stainless steel, and others. The same can be said of the Series 4 and 5 air motors, which have 16 and 18 gpm max flows, the Series 7 self-priming centrifugal pump (53 gpm), and the 3 to 8 gpm dual head pumps.

  • Chempump, Div. of Teikoku USA, Inc.

    Chempump, developers of the first sealless and leakproof canned motor pumps, continues as a manufacturer of several series of chemical pumps. The NC Series pump meets ASME B73.3M and ANSI/HI-5.1-5.6. It comes in either 60 Cycle (3450 Curve or 1750 Curve) or 50 Cycle (2880 Curve or 1440 Curve). The G Series pumps feature automatic hydraulic thrust balance, and are capable of pumping fluids in working environments of -400 to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit and 5,000 psi. The company also makes the Dynapump, which ranges from fractional to 5 horsepower units, and the economical LE Series canned motor pump.

  • Finish Thompson, Inc. (FTI)

    Finish Thomspon manufactures vertical, magnetic drive, multi-stage, and ETFE-lined ANSI dimensional chemical pumps. DB Series magnetic drive pumps utilize neodymium magnetic technology and a polypropylene/PVDF construction to reduce electric expenditures and provide corrosion resistance. VKC Series vertical, sealless, plastic pumps use magnetic coupling technology to create a completely sealed column that prevents aeration, micro-bubbles, and the release of fugitive emissions. Multi-stage Series pumps are labeled MSKC, while UC Series (ULTRAChem) pumps are ETFE/Tefzel-lined to provide the best corrosion-resistance of any Finish Thompson pump.

  • Sundyne Corp.

    Sundyne offers chemical processing pumps for general duty, high-head, and low-flow applications. Ansimag non-metallic drive pumps (ANSI) are offered in five models with flow rates ranging from 147 to 1,450 GPM, heads ranging from 140 to 515 feet, and case working pressures ranging from 150 to 350 PSI. HMD/Kontro magnet drive pumps (ANSI, ISO, DIN) come in 14 models ranging from the general transfer GTA/GTI seal-less configurations to several turbine models. Heavy-duty application pump designs include low-head or high-head heavy duty pumps (API-160) and HMP multi-stage pumps.

  • Hawkins & Associates, Inc.

    Hawkins & Associates offers a wide range of chemical pumps for water treatment applications. LMI Series B and C chemical metering pumps feature chemical-resistant housings, encapsulated electronics, output ratings up to 25 GPH, and maximum pressure up to 300 PSI. Series P chemical metering pump can handle outputs up to 2.0 GPH and pressures up to 250 PSI. Several electronic metering pumps are also available, including the high pressure Series H9 and explosion-proof Series E7.

  • BJM Pumps, LLC

    BJM Pumps provides a large selection of corrosion-resistant, submersible chemical pumps in 316/304 stainless steel, titanium, Noryl, Viton, Buna N, and EPDM materials. Perfecta Series pumps feature thermal breakers, two discharge ports, alkalis/acid resistance, and a virtually unbreakable construction. These pumps can handle power ratings up to 0.4 HP, voltages up to 115V, heads up to 27', and flows up to 46 GPM. RX-Series 316 stainless steel pumps have top discharge/maximum motor cooling capabilities for continuous duty applications, e.g. corrosive water de-watering and environmental remediation.

    U.S. Plastic Corp. offers chemical pumps in a variety of configurations. Filter-Chem dry guard pumps feature a CPVC/splash-proof design, 1/2" MPT threaded bases, 1" Hg sensitive vacuum switches, and a variety of high current applications. Large volume chemical/submersible pumps can handle submerged temperatures up to 195°F, flows up to 46 GPM, power consumption ratings up to 500 Watts, and motor voltage ratings up to 115V.

  • K/M Specialty Pumps and Systems, Inc.

    K/M Specialty Pumps and Systems offers LMI Series C, B, and AA chemical metering pumps. These pumps can handle output ratings ranging from 2 to 25 GPM and pressures ranging from 2.50 to 300 PSI. These pumps feature a unique 5-level power control system, controlled stroke rates, encapsulated electronics, and several control options. Other stocked products include piston, grease, end suction, inline, sump, sewage, and vertical turbine pumps.

    Sethco offers several chemical pumps in drum, magnetic drive, and vertical configurations. The P-90 drum pump has a polypropylene construction for transfer of most corrosive liquids, the ability to run dry, and 1.66" diameter tube. Magnetic drive options include the Polypro/PVDF end suction and self-priming pumps, featuring high temperature Kynar construction and 99.5% Alumina ceramic shaft for corrosion-resistant functionality. Two basic models of vertical pumps are also available: ZDX Series CPVC/PVDF centrifugal pumps and ZSX Series stainless steel vertical pumps. Both incorporate an opposing twin-impeller design to deter flow up the pump column, and corrosion-resistance even in alkaline, acid, photo resist, and other solutions.

  • Met-Pro Corp.

    Fybroc Division specializes in fiberglass-reinforced, thermoset vinyl ester/epoxy pumping equipment for corrosive and difficult liquids. They offer five main kinds of pumps: horizontal, mag drive, self-priming, vertical, and cantilever. The horizontal type includes the Series 1500 ANSI B73.1 standard pump, with capacity to 5,000 gpm and heads to 400 ft, as well as the Series 3000 recessed impeller pump that has capacity to 2,300 gpm and heads to 130 ft. Magnetic drive options include the Series 2530 and 2630 regular and self-priming close coupled pumps, while the Series 1600 and 1630 represent two self-priming centrifugal pumps. The company also produces vertical fiberglass and dry pit sump pumps, in addition to the Series 7500 cantilever sump pump.

  • Continental Pump Co.

    Continental Pump Company manufactures chemical pumps for a variety of applications, including chemical processing, crude oil, sanitation, and slurries. Model CL chemical pumps come in 25 unique configurations. These pumps feature flows ranging from 3 to 360 GPM, pressures ranging from 15 to 225 PSI, and port sizes ranging from 0.75" to 6". Model CM chemical pumps are similar to the CL model, but with a larger drive head to handle the increased horsepower generated by the pump.

  • Liquiflo Equipment Co., Inc.

    Liquiflo manufactures chemical process gear and centrifugal pumps from high-alloy 316 stainless steel, Alloy-C, Alloy-20, and titanium materials. These pumps are capable of pumping acids, caustics, solvents, and polymers under a wide range of conditions. Chemical process gear pumps are rated for flows up to 55 GPM, differential pressures up to 350 PSI, and viscosities ranging from 0.3 to 100,000+ cP. Chemical process centrifugal pumps can handle flows up to 770 GPM and heads up to 420 feet. Both products can be close or long coupled, and they are compatible with NEMA/IEC motors.

    Halsted & Hoggan offers a wide range of chemical pumps from over 40 manufacturers. Pump types offered include utility system, waste water, sump, submersible, turbine, hydraulic driven, gear, centrifugal clutch, self-priming, air driven duplex diaphragm, etc.

  • SCC Pumps, Inc.

    SCC designs impact-resistant, Delrin centrifugal pumps in 115V AC, 230V AC, 12V DC, and 24V DC configurations. These pumps come with standard Buna-N seals and a pump head that can be rotated in 90-degree increments. They can be used in cooling, water, chemical recirculation, and washing applications up to 160°F. Small custom pumps can also be developed upon request. SCC offers a variety of other pump options, including flexible impeller and submersible pumps.

  • seepex, Inc.

    Seepex specializes in pumps designed for abrasive, aggressive, highly viscous, toxic, and shear-sensitive applications. Modular metering pumps utilize progressive cavity technology to increase accuracies for industries that require it (e.g. food beverage, environmental, etc). ATEX pumps satisfy the requirements of European Directive 94/9/EC for handling explosive materials safely. Seepex also makes special design pumps in multiple steel grades, hastelloy, titanium, cast stainless steel, synthetic, and elastomeric materials.

  • Vanton Pump & Equipment Corp.

    Vanton carries a long line of Chem-Gard thermoplastic pumps for corrosive, abrasive, hazardous, and ultra-pure fluids. Chem-Gard metal armored, thermoplastic, centrifugal pumps feature flow ratings up to 1,450 GPM, heads up to 400 feet, and tolerances up to 275°F. CGA centrifugal pumps meet ANSI B73.1 and internal process pump standards, while CGM seal-less ANSI centrifugal pumps feature magnetic drives; HIS certification; and air-cooled, dry running, tertiary seals. Other pump configurations offered by Vanton include the CGC closed-coupled, PG self-priming, and CGV vortex for solids-laden liquid and slurry applications.

  • Flux

    Flux offers barrel/container Juniorflux pumps. Barrel/container pumps are offered in a variety of styles that all function in median temperatures ranging from 20 to 60°C. Design options include mechanical seal/seal-less; 99.98% barrel emptying, pumping, or mixing/pumping; and built-in liquid meters, fume glands, or mounting systems. Most of the same options exist for the Juniorflux, which is a lightweight pump for dispensing small amounts of liquids out of narrow-necked containers.

  • ITT Jabsco

    ITT Jabsco offers pumps that can handle chemicals in a variety of environments, whether in industrial or marine applications, or sanitary and hygienic settings. Drum emptying pumps are available in a variety of materials in order to transfer a wide range of acids and alkalis in the chemical handling and metal-finishing industries. Several rotary lobe pumps are in stock, as well, such as the 24 Series Tri Lobe that is designed for food products, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, where hygiene is critical; this pump can handle flow rates up to 125m3/h, pressures to 146 psi, and liquid viscosity ranges from 1 to 1,000,000 centipoise. A variety of other centrifugal and self-priming pumps are also manufactured through ITT Jabsco.
