A pressure sensor measures, monitors and controls pressure, typically of gases or liquids. A pressure sensor typically acts as a transducer, as it generates a signal as a function of the pressure imposed.Industrial pressure sensors are designed to work in heavy industrial environments –including hazardous and explosive locations. These sensors typically feature a rugged enclosure and provide a greater immunity to electrical noise, which is commonly found within industrial environments.Featuring stainless steel construction, pressure sensors are available in a variety of pressure ranges, process connections, electrical connections, and output signals.Pressure sensors can be divided into five standard category types: absolute pressure sensor, gauge pressure sensor, vacuum pressure sensor, differential pressure sensor, and sealed pressure sensor.
