Selector switches are manually operated, multi-purpose, multi-position switches that are typically constructed in knob, key, or lever styles.

    c3controls offers keyed, illuminated, and non-illuminated switches. These switches have the following features: universal cam designs, proper contact block positions, up to four circuits controlled by one switch, 2-3 position switching capabilities, and snap-on contact blocks. They are UL listed and meet the following requirements: global standard; IP65; and Types 13, 12, 4X/4, 3R, 3, 2, and 1. Illuminated selector switches eliminate the need for additional pilot lights and thus can free up valuable space.

    Grainger Industrial Supply offers selector switches in a variety of configurations, including: 2-direction, 3-direction, NEMA type, operator, heavy-duty, 30mm, non-illuminated, hot button, corrosion resistant, etc. Schneider Electric model #XB4BD21 selector switches feature contact blocks, on/off switch operations, a chrome construction, and maintained operator types. These switches are non-illuminated, easily installed, UL listed, no-notch mounted, and CE/CSA certified. NEMA ratings include: 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12, and 13.

These switches feature bevels for flush/raised mounting, protection up to IP67, LED illumination, voltages up to 500 VAC, and momentary/snap-action switching elements.

These switches are IP67/69k rated, and they are suitable for high temperature/pressure wash down environments.

    Carlo GAVAZZI Automation Components offers short and long handle selector switches available with extended, flush, and mushroom heads. These switches feature plastic or metal rings, mounting versions ranging from 22 to 30mm, LED indicator lights, and a service life exceeding 100,000 hours. Type PB short-handle selector switches have operating temperatures ranging from -13 to +158°F, insulated voltages up to 500 VAC, applying frequencies ranging from 50 to 60 Hz, and current consumptions ≤18 mA.

    Esterline offers rotary selector switches in a variety of configurations. Series A - 15° indexing rotary selector switches are explosion proof, totally enclosed, and electrically rated to 10 Amps @ 28V DC. These switches can handle torques up to 8 in-lbs, positions ranging from 4 to 24, temperature ranges from -65 to +125°C, and altitudes to 70,000 feet. They are capable of meeting/exceeding MIL-S-3786 requirements, and they come in lengths up to 1".

    Cherry (ZF Electronics Corp) offers PA Series, PB Series, and PE Series push-wheel selector switches for a wide variety of applications. These switches come in dimensions ranging from 6 x 18 x 15.6 to 7.62 x 24 x 26, 10 to 16 switching positions, and mounting depths ranging from 19.5 to 42mm. They feature black housings, integrated snap-in end-caps, integrated pins for module mounting, and front mounting options.
