Valves • Globe Valves

A type of valve used for regulating the flow of water within a pipeline, a globe valve features a spherical body that contains a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat. Often used in place of a needle valve, globe valves can be automated or manually operated. Typically, automated valves use sliding stems, while a manual globe valve is operated by turning the stem’s handwheel.Within industrial applications, globe valves can be used for fire protection. In general globe valves are used for applications that require throttling and frequent operation.Globe valve types include: threaded, 2-way, 3-way, cartridge, angle seat, Y-pattern, bellow seal, straight way, cryogenic, pressure seal, and corrosion resistant. Typically available in carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze and brass; globe valves can feature butt-weld ends, flanges, socket ends, and long bellow ends.
